iota is an innovative web-based AI tool (named iota) designed to assist instructors and students in predicting academic performance. This tool not only enhances transparency in grading but also fosters better communication between students and faculty, enabling data-driven decision-making to improve learning outcomes. The tool can be accessed at https://www.iota-1.com. This platform is the enhanced version of the tool I intially developed in 2023.

Figure 1 shows a screenshot of “instructor’s view” which summarizes the current progress of entire class at a particular instant of time during the semester. This gives instructors a broad overview about the ongoing progress of students. This gives instructors a broad overview about the ongoing progress of students. Among 100s of students, it also highlights students who could possibly fail the course.

Similarly, Figure 2 shows selected views on the students’ side highlighting their possible grade trajectory; their grades in certain assessments; and a brief message.
